The Cubs dropped their fourth straight to the Brewers on Monday night, but there was a bright spot earlier on the evening.
Chicago welcomed former Cubbies players that contributed to the team’s amazing World Series run in 2016 to Wrigley Field so they could receive their championship rings. Outfielder Jorge Soler and pitchers Travis Wood and Jason Hammel are all, coincidentally, with the Kansas City Royals now.
The Royals had Monday off, so the three MLBers went to Wrigley and were honored by their former organization and fan base.
The classy Cubs released this awesome video of their best moments in 2016:

Good times, for sure. While these three weren’t the key cogs in the World Series run, every contribution counts during a historic season like that.
Soler, Wood and Hammel will forever be remembered as members of the championship team that snapped a 108-year drought.
